Beyoncé Drops Surprise Single “Morning Dew (Donk)” Amid Act III Buzz

Beyoncé surprised fans on July 4 by releasing her first new song in two years, titled ‘Morning Dew (Donk).’ The soulful track, written by Beyoncé alongside Pharrell Williams, The-Dream and Darius Dixon, also marks the beginning of a special countdown to her milestone birthday. According to a statement from Parkwood Entertainment, the single kicks off a 60-day celebration leading up to Beyoncé’s 45th birthday on September 4 and the 20th anniversary reissue of her iconic 2006 album, ‘B’Day.’ The song is set to appear on the anniversary edition of the album and arrives alongside a lyric video featuring archival footage directed by Beyoncé’s longtime collaborator Cliff Watts.
