Norway’s Princess Ingrid Alexandra and her brother, Prince Sverre Magnus, visited the team's locker room after Norway’s 2–1 win over Brazil, where Erling Haaland scored both goals.

The princess greeted Haaland just as he was "strategically" mid shirt-change 🤭

“Gratulerer! …så imponerende. Vi satt med faren din og så på…” – roughly: “Congratulations! So impressive. We were sitting with your father and watching…” – before she trailed off laughing.

Prince Sverre Magnus, in the dark suit and Norway scarf, then shook Haaland’s hand and pulled him into a hug too.

    1. sounded familiar and.. yup – from [her wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princess_Ingrid_Alexandra_of_Norway#Statement_on_the_Mette-Marit–Epstein_and_Høiby_affairs) page:

      >Statement on the Mette-Marit–Epstein and Høiby affairs

      >On 5 February 2026, Ingrid Alexandra published a statement on her Instagram account, later reported by Norwegian media, in which she dismissed the criticism directed at her mother over her ties to Jeffrey Epstein as not constituting a real issue. She stated that the matter was not about her mother, nor about her half-brother Marius Borg Høiby, who is on trial for rape, but instead described the situation as personal attacks against her family. Royal expert Erik Mustad responded that while the family is under considerable pressure, much of the situation has been caused by the actions of her mother and her half-brother. Royal commentator Ole Jørgen Schulsrud-Hansen called her comments inappropriate and accused her of behaving like an influencer.

A little shocked they’d travel to such a large international event so soon after Mette-Marit’s lung transplant. I’m aware post transplant precautions for lungs are different than those for bone marrow (what I have the most experience with) but I’d think the risk of post transplant infection, even something as small as a viral cold, would want to be avoided at all costs.

I’m always stupidly surprised to be reminded that so many European countries still have monarchies, lol

I still think Monarchies are gross, the divine right of kings in 2026? They should be equal to all citizens.

Is she the mother of the rapist or is it a different European royal?

Europe historically had kings and queens and now their titles are still alive as part of preserving tradition.

Upon googling I’ve learned that there are 43 Sovereign states with a monarchy as head of state as of 2026.13 in Asia,12 in Europe,9 in the Americas,6 in Oceania and 3 in Africa.
