    1. Yeah like this will save them. Maybe produce higher quality material and ensure we get the following season within a year not making people wait for years. Sounds like another way yompush more ads.

Engagement is low cause the content they make isn’t engaging! Third screen writing policy has ruined their content!

Make better shows & give them more than 1 or 2 seasons to get their footing maybe?

The number of shows that start off a little rough around the edges have ended up becoming entertainment staples. Imagine if The Office or Parks & Rec had been cancelled after their first, very rough, seasons?

Have some faith in your people Netflix and stop churning out crap as fast you can. Invest in them.

As much as I have issues with Apple, they’ve been doing the less is more approach & it’s working.

I don’t even want to binge watch a show with ads, so they want us to watch live channels with ads??

Maybe stop having 3 rate increases yearly? Then adding ads and let’s not forget ripping our kids access away without password sharing. Maybe start there chief

    6. Ah, peek enshitification. Product got shitty, so they’re gonna make it worse.

There is no such thing as infinite growth. It they had pivoted to keeping the platform steady, they wouldn’t be driving customers away.

Capitalism is supply and demand. There is no demand for a shittier platform

Netflix’s content just isn’t great.  It’s fine.  Not great.  And then takes years between seasons.

Almost like they don’t know what they’re doing.

Entertainment ship is sinking. They can try everything you can’t keep attention anymore. People are too stupid.

Why would I subscribe to a streaming service that costs the same as my hbo/hulu/disney bundle? For what? I can’t think of a single thing worth the money

    10. If production companies stopped making shows and movies designed to be an infinite loop and started making stuff with actual endings maybe people would watch. I stopped watching series a long time ago because I felt tv has become this new thing where everyone wants to become an industry. They want spinoffs, multiple seasons, sequels, etc. No one wants to make something that ends. And I don’t have time for that.

Maybe stop canceling good shows and stop raising your prices. Maybe care about the consumers.

    12. We canceled a couple years ago. Came back for the last season of Stranger Things. Looked around, and couldn’t find a compelling reason to stay subscribed, so we left again. The cherry on top was just as we were leaving, we got an email saying they were increasing prices again.

When you purposefully design your content to be consumed 2nd hand while people scroll on their phones they stop giving a shit. Same goes for when they pay attention and it just isnt worth it because its being spoon fed to you since other people dont pay attention

I wish linear tv wasn’t dying. we got so many episodes per season airing months after each other

Go back to basics. Good content. Every year. And drop the binging bullshit. Also stop the second screen bullshit. If Gen-z is too fucking stupid to watch something then they don’t get to watch something.

    16. I need a way to filter out all,of the BS they offer mow, not more BS I can’t filter out later on.

    17. I canceled most streaming services months ago because they’ve out priced convenience. All of it became more than cable was, which was also too expensive. I started a physical + downloaded media collection.

We canceled after the last rate increase. We were just so sick of them canceling good shows and it wasn’t worth it anymore. Had been subscribing since the dvd mailers days. Used to love Netflix.

    19. Netflix, hbo, and all these other streaming services did the exact same thing as older tv: started cranking out the low effort, “reality tv” slop that made people switch to early versions of streaming in the first place. Fuck em.
