Its is literally your job to write and you should be able to do it without AI, fucking hate this

    2. “…which our editors review, edit, and revise to their requirements”

      well clearly not

The correction doesn’t even “land more naturally” as the bot claims lmao it just made it sound like zoomer speak instead. Ridiculous and redundant

    4. If only there were hundreds of movies and novels warning us of this exact outcome.

Why bother hiring editors at all then? Any idiot can copy and paste a response (except the idiot who ‘wrote’ this apparently)

    6. The other day, google AI mode told me that Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy was a fictional character. It’s not a good tool for journalists to use.

The nepo economy. Untalented wealthy kids claiming high salary jobs and letting robots do all the work. Literally one editing pass should have caught this. I’m not charging enough for my dirty little stories.

    8. So when we all stop reading the media with our human brains are the bots just creating content for each other? I’m actively unsubscribing and taking authors out of my rotation constantly because of this nonsense. Please make it stop.

    9. Side note: I had a back and forth with an editor years ago about American Marie Claire glorifying bullfighting by featuring a female bullfighter as like their Fun Fearless Female of the issue or something. They really doubled down and canceled my subscription via email. As soon as I saw this my eyes narrowed and I wanted to shake my fist at the sky. Marie Claire has done it again (15 years later)

Ugh I hate that their AI disclaimer is just tacked on the end of acknowledgement of traditional owners, that’s so shitty.

Sneaking in a land acknowledgement in the small print where you also admit to AI laziness is worse than ignoring it.

    12. I just had a hugely frustrating conversation with my boss about how AI is messing up the environment with unrelated water and energy use. “But it’s the future!”. I’m in a huge international company and basically they don’t care that it’s using up natural resources that humans need. So I hate AI.

I work in publishing. Job has got exponentially harder since people started using AI. It is so terrible and takes so much longer to edit.

The respect they’re paying to Elders past and present sounds really sincere

lol my middle school students do this. The font will be all wonky, too. They’re so bad at cheating.

Im confused arent there supposed to be various editors to ensure the quality of the content sent out?

At least that’s what we did in high school lol

when people ask me why i “gave up” being a content writer and copywriter, it’s bullshit like this. fuck ai forever

Maybe bc I love writing, but I could NEVER use AI bc my shit is way better every time. It’s weird to me
