      Sometimes I read news like this one and ultimately wonder: how did these people survivor a pandemic?

      I tried to be as smart as I could and still wound up mentally and physically scarred lol

      I file this sort of news under “death by mental illness” and find it incredibly sad. This phenomenon (not looksmaxxing itself necessarily, but the broader extreme self “improvement” thing) predates the internet by eons, but whoo boy does streaming video turbocharge it.

      All of this shit is just so incredibly sad and bleak. They’re breaking the bones in their faces and injecting themselves with gold, all the while someone is making mad money telling them it’s ‘the only way’. End stage capitalism truly is killing the world

      He was mentally unwell for some time. I blame Leo Gura for this – he influenced him into taking psychedelics and his videos led Connor to develop a god complex and go further of the rails.

      I thought Connor was more a YouTube “prankster” than looksmaxxer?I remember his mental state had a real downward spiral few years backs when he was doing DMT everyday before that culture was big.

      You know how in Doctor Who nearly every episode sees the Doctor & co meet a cool new alien species only to then discover they have some really weird/disturbing lifestyles that are somehow leading to their cruel but inevitable demise?

      This is severe body dysmorphia. I can see the features that are traditionally considered attractive, but they were pushed to the extreme.

      I dont think calling him a looksmaxxer is accurate. I remember watching this guy on YouTube in the 2010s. He has appearance and gym focused content and silly little skits, but he didnt dabble in this blackpill ideology stuff. He changed due to being mentally unwell.
