Hi, I am ab animator, and I have a huge respect for illustrators and comic artists! I could never bear spending so much hours on one single drawing so I was never goof at detailed rendered stuff. You illustrators so cool!
Same for comic artists. I once tried to draw a comic, and DAMN, THAT'S HARD. As an animator I can't get it how you manage to draw TIME without literal timeline. Actually readable actions that go in several drawings, and that reader can technically already see all at once but still follow each frame by frame? It's nothing like storyboard at all! For me comics are actually harder at directing than animation
