The way the league has handled everything over the last few years has been so ridiculous. It’s like they want it to be viewed as a clown show with the actual basketball coming second

    2. Some of the white women in the WNBA are either naive and clueless or intentionally baiting the racist fans.

    3. White women need to call out and shame other white women who harm black and poc women without “buts” if they are truly interested in femme solidarity.

The WNBA will maybe release a vague statement about disapproval of hateful remarks from anyone and do nothing else.

    5. I hate how much good press this woman seems to be getting. She knows how this narrative is being spun and is happy to play along it and use it.

    6. Idk what her or Caitlyn Clark’s politics are but their fans are legit the worst in sports. Big part of her hype seems built on the notion that she is the “great white hope” of Basketball. Something you used to see back in boxing with guys like Tommy Morrison.

I wish I could go back to about 3 weeks ago when I didn’t know who she was

    8. She aint and has never been shit. Why she’s popular in the W is a mystery to me. Showing her true colors

She’s been trash. She made shitty comments about the WNBA expanding in Detroit and Cleveland and said no players wanted to go there, and then said the league should have expanded in Nashville, or Kansas City instead. She’s a racist plain and simple.

Nobody can explain to me why the type of negative attention the WNBA is receiving is beneficial in anyway.

It’s not beneficial to their mental health, nor does it result in them playing any better (since, y’know, there in major leagues where athletes are already expected to play well). Yes, the league is getting brand deals and financial investments and time slots on major TV networks, but the players aren’t getting anything out of this sudden exposure except harassment.

And there’s a certain kind of not only ignorance, but also an entitlement in this statement. To think that these women should be grateful for your disrespect because they get another zero on their paycheck is, at best, delusional, and at worse, self-important. As if these women don’t pay the same exact bills their male counterparts. Why is negative attention the price for equal pay? Why is harassment the price of recognition? Of acknowledgment? And why does this narrative never exist for men or white people? Why do we (y’all) just accept women and minorities experiencing this kind of treatment? Sophie enabling any of this isn’t the least bit disappointing cause I don’t expect anything from her either as a player or as a person, but it isn’t any less embarrassing.

I’m really over hearing about this loser.

Chuds don’t even care about women’s sports unless a trans athlete is involved. They will move on from her in less than a month.
