She knows what’s coming
No offence to Zendaya, but the Spider-Man, Odyssey (and upcoming Dune 3) press tour was a lot. I had to block a few frequent users and subs because it was just a lot of Zendaya happening for weeks.
After making millions, she wants to dissappear for a while and enjoy her riches in peace? I know I would. I’d take a 6+ year hiatus even.
I understand her. She needs to take a break and rest.
I’m exhausted for her.
People saying they get it but it is actually crazy to some im sure as a most woman in Hollywood are considered to have an expiration date so to choose to step out of the lime light when you could become richer and more famous is a move we dont see very often from female stars, they have to use every ounce of their star power while they can. Where as actors like Pedro Pascal or Nic Cage get to use their aging as character work and can come and go.
That’s a smart decision tbh. Every time a female celebrity is in the public eye for more than a few weeks, people start complaining about how she’s overexposed and they’re sick of her while actively seeking out things to criticise. The higher the pedestal, the worse it gets, and Zendaya’s one of the most beloved celebrities out there right now too
It’s good that Zendaya is finally planning to take a break. She has been working so hard lately, and she really deserves some time off this year. She has been constantly in the spotlight because she keeps dedicating herself to acting and has taken on some of the main roles in so many productions. I’m not surprised that she finally wants to take a break.
I never really understood the point of these press tours. They seem so unnecessary. Do we need 200 3 minute clips to know there’s a new spider man movie? I used to think those random press clips sat in a chair behind a poster were boring. Now they ask the same questions while having Zendaya do the SPAGHETTI CHALLENGE or whatever is going viral these days.
It’s always been wild to me that at this level of celebrity they can’t just be like… I’ll do 10 interviews max.
Taking a step back to rest is always a good idea. Wishing her a relaxing and peaceful break.
Five press tours in one year is genuinely exhausting most people couldn’t handle one. Zendaya’s self-awareness here is admirable tbh . She’s protecting her energy before the public burns her out.
Smart move, I would say honestly.
