This happened to someone I know. How the hell does someone not realize their sexual preference until deep into their adult life? 8 years of marriage down the drain because the husband woke up one day and realized he liked dick.
Puts a new meaning to the name Beartooth I guess. /s
I respect people’s right to come out whenever they want but it’s so sad to marry someone and string them along for a 14 year long marriage, especially if you knew from the start that you’re not into them.

A close friend of mine married young, and later had the self realization that he was a gay man. His wife, being his best friend, fully supported him and helped him navigate his journey. They are still best friends to this day.
Let’s not assume she feels like a victim or that 14 years of her life is “down the drain”. We don’t know their situation, nor is it any of our business.

From what I’ve gathered since first hearing about this, he was raised by an evangelical pastor and he entered this 14 year marriage at age 19 with a woman who was 27/28 after dating for around 2 years. The math is yucky, and this is all a recipe for repression.
