I can hear all the Reddit self appointed “Greek scholars” screaming and stomping their feet.

I mean not all reviews are in yet. It’s probably gonna fall and not be number 1. But still means it’s good and I’m excited to see it tomorrow

Regardless of how my feelings on the movie will turn out, this being Nolan’s best-reviewed movie of all time is absolutely hilarious and I am 100% here for it.

The dark knight will never be surpassed. The prestige and interstellar are really high too.

Wasn’t Oppenheimer also rated super high days before release before coming down?

I do hope I’m in for quite the fun surprise, because the story is awesome but I wasn’t very confident from the trailers being shown. Sounds like it’s great tho.

    7. I’m sure it’s a good movie but how can some of these critics rate something 100/100? It’s perfect? Right.

Lmao at the seething racists!!! Movie always looked great. I’m sure Asmagold and other bigot grifters will try to shift this to fit their narrative

Oh no! So both the alt-right *and* the armchair Greek scholars are *trembling* right now. Couldn’t have happened to better people.

Well, here’s what’s going to happen next based on previous alt-right obsessions with their favorite thing to hate of the day: the user score is going to be the lowest of any Nolan film so far because the hive mind is far too strong for it not to happen at this point.

I’m currently going through Nolan’s entire filmography before Odyssey drops and it’s obviously one of the best collections you’ll ever run through.

So imagine how petty and pathetic you’d have to be to post ceaseless negative public commentary about an expensive IMAX Nolan film that you haven’t seen despite two decades of evidence informing you that you should have always been excited by the prospects.

Imagine how much you must hate movies to maintain this feeling. It’s Christopher Nolan. Get a *grip* and enjoy the ride, because movies like Odyssey are exceedingly rare.

the gulf between the internet’s poisoned monetized opinion economy and “real life” is getting more and more exposed every day, and it takes strong works of art like this to help that gap to become permanent

I’m not sure if I will like this for English major reasons, but I want it to blow up and do insanely well even if I hate it lol. Like, let’s do a billion in revenue and win some Oscars!

but, but………an army of unfuckle losers on the internet said it sucked

If the critics gave it a good score on rotten tomatoes that usually means it’s a terrible movie.

The trailer looked really bad, but this has changed my views a bit. Maybe I should go see the Odyssey after all.

I’ll wait to see it myself to form an opinion. Oppenheimer was critically acclaimed and lauded initially, and I ended up seeing that movie as a 6.5/10. So still a good movie, but definitely not the “masterpiece” it was portrayed as when it first came out.

    16. Why was Reddit ever in doubt in the first place?! Dude always delivers.

Not every movie he’s made is to everyone’s liking, and there are always heated discussions goin on about which of those movies were classics or misfires, but everyone can always agree that Nolan always delivers a spectacle that’s worth a watch at least once.

    17. I dont know a single real person who gives a rats fart about rotten tomatoes scores on anything.

    18. Capital_Yams on

this thread is hilarious, apparently now you have to like the big corporation produced movie or you are a racist chud, I guess being a corp shill is left wing now

    19. The movie will do well but all these ratings stories are tedious and circular reporting.

    20. Lol the people giving this a perfect score are just as much trolls as the people who are going to eventually review bomb it.

    21. Turbulent-Agent9634 on

Good. The chuds are silly billys, whom will wank over this film for years to come. And like jesus will never come.

    22. Is it the highest rated at this point in their release schedule, or are they comparing it to the final scores?

    23. IndividualHouse8628 on

Rotten tomatoes is known for having terrible reviews so that 98% means very little

    24. CantaloupePutrid3548 on

Its pathetic how invested people get over hating films.

Reading comments online you’d think people bet their house on this film being bad and now that it’s not they are just losing it at every single person who’s seen it.

OoOooh no! Not a good movie! Somebody think of the children! lmao
