Good. Enough is enough. Time for elected leaders on both sides to stand up against this insanity.

I’m of two minds about this. Politicians need to experience the pain and suffering of their constituents in order to better lead, enact better policies for their community that foster safety and growth. But even as governor, she has no control over the ICE situation as ICE is not a state agency. ICE is a federal agency controlled by trump.

People’s ire should be, rightly, directed at the president. The governor is as much bystanders as the rest of us. That is, unless, new laws are passed that pit ICE officers against state law enforcement – a standoff of federal cops vs. state cops. Is that the best course of action?

Unless, or until, that happens voting is the only course of action. And voting for the democrat is the only choice we have to try to stem this government-sanctioned harassment and murder. Voting 3rd party or abstaining is a tascit acknowledgement that our current course of action as a country is fine, that you’re OK with things as they are.
