When Meta began using employee data to train Al without worker consent, over 1,800 Meta workers signed a petition asking to end the Model Capability Initiative (MCI). Bosworth claims these people "made the entire company worse."
Because of the workers collective action and an internal data breach where private data was exposed, Meta management ended the nonconsensual MCI surveillance program.
Now the company's CTO is lashing out against workers, and appears to be equating worker organizing to leaking, even hinting at threatening workers for their protected organizing.

Nothing inspires employee loyalty like a good verbal lashing

Leaker leaks audio about CTO being angry about leakers leaking stuff. That’s so Meta.
A real brainiac move this was. We have leaks, so to stop the leaks, I’m going to threaten my employees on a zoom call that they’re guaranteed to leak.
Stupid and dangerous a real winning combo.

Guys, do you think he thinks the leakers are not helping? I wasn’t sure
/s
goddamn these ppl are stupid 🤣 when u think threatening ur employees will make them compliant 🤡
Seriously though, who here is on some kind of Meta beat lately?
Bosworth is a key example of a corporate sociopath.
I’ll believe corporations are people (*Citizens United vs FEC*, 2010) when corporations are eligible for the death penalty. Because Mets should not exist.
it’s interesting to see meta openly trying to intimidate their workers. Not a great spot to be
All I want to know is, did they make the entire company worse?
there is a system that would prevent this and catch those who are leaking, but i’m not gonna disclose that here…
I don’t understand how the public at-large has not realize that Meta is the bad guy. Like it’s all mining your data.
Meanwhile the whole team is thinking….

It will help now. The few will never beat the many. Much love!
He’s always bitching about something, terrible “leader.” No one likes that guy internally and he’s now commissioned as a lieutenant colonel … what a joke.
Ohhh that company’s failing failing lmaooo
Weekly reminder, from Reuters: [Meta’s AI rules have let bots hold ‘sensual’ chats with kids, offer false medical info.](https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/meta-ai-chatbot-guidelines/) Not enough people know about this. They should. And fewer people should use their products.
Interesting how hard he’s trying to sell that. He keeps repeating himself over and over
It’s as if he tells you six times, you’ll agree with him. But, he offers no cogent arguments to support his position. This guy wastes everyone’s time.
Do not talk to me about AI I will kill myself.
(Mods could I have that as my flair?)
Sounds more like the CTE of Meta.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Positive incentives are usually the most effective ones.
Garbage company.
