How in the hell am I supposed to buy that getting that Dior job wasn’t also a dream job that she wouldn’t have absolutely jumped at? The actors did the best they could, but there was no story here.

Miranda pawned Emily off onto another company just like she did with the French lady in the first one so that Miranda wouldn't be forced out of Runway. It's business. It's self-preservation.
