Aren’t there some variations (or maybe its the 1st translation) where Athena mostly speaks to Telmachus and encourages him?
the concept of athena falling in love, she is above that (jk, a BIG reason why aphrodite just POPS into myths and removed from the olympians is because love is such a big emotion that no one is immune to it)
