Howard Stern Making Major Changes at SiriusXM Radio Show: Layoffs and Cutting Back to 1 Show a Week
Howard Stern is reportedly making major changes to ‘The Howard Stern Show.’ According to ‘Page Six,’ the longtime radio host is laying off about a dozen staffers as the SiriusXM series prepares to scale back to just one new episode per week, following Stern’s summer break. Archived episodes will reportedly fill in the remaining time slots. The reported changes come months after Stern signed a new contract that allows for greater flexibility and more time off. While a core group of longtime producers is expected to remain, SiriusXM has not publicly commented on the reported layoffs.

Maybe it's the show, or my age, or both, but I cancelled my subscription about a month back. The main reason is I just got exhausted with Howard berating his staff for doing stuff they love……bullying JD for his sports cards or LEGO, going after Gary for pickleball or going to Bruce concerts. Then, his constant bitching about his life.
One could say he always did this. Again, either it became more concentrated with him only doing two shows a week, or maybe I've gotten older and just don't feel like hearing it and cringing.
I LOVE Howard.
On his own terms? Maybe if we are now counting the loss of millions of fans as “own terms” now?! 🤣🤣🤣 good riddance! He hasn’t been funny since network radio

No one has made me laugh more since 1986 than Stern. His show was a must listen for decades.
That said, his show became irrelevant years ago as he became exactly what he rebelled against in the early years. It was time for him to retire a decade ago.
