Needless to say this woman really was the epitome of a style icon. 👗 BUT she was far more than a beautiful face, far more than many people realize, which is why her legacy deserves more than just another best-dressed ranking. 👉🏽 Civil rights supporter, (google her commitment), feminist, socio-political philanthropist in other spheres, film producer and founder of her own production company (at a time when women, let alone beauty queens, were hardly encouraged to take charge of their own business), hard-working artist who was her own harshest critic, one of the pioneers of method acting … all that while fighting the lasting effect of various forms of abuse from her foster kid childhood to her early acting days to at least one of her marriages.
In her short lifetime, Norma Jean a.k.a. Marilyn was put through a great deal by this world, yet she gave back so much to so many, if "only" by providing her unique smile and warm presence to whoever she met. Why couldn't the world give her back anything substantial?
FYI: For me, one of the most sobering Marilyn quotes from the end of her young life is "I belonged to the whole world, because I belonged to nobody else."
Marilyn Monroe is a ICONIC! Femme fatale, Sex Symbol of all time, I mean her fashion looks and the way she presented herself not as a sex symbol but there as has been characters inspired by her like Jessica Rabbit from who framed Roger rabbit very Marilyn coated and Lola Bunny as well. Also her looks are very infamous like the dress scene from the air vents very iconic also her diamond with a girl’s best friend look also has been imitated by Madonna herself in Material Girl and Harley Quinn from birds of prey movie even though that was more of a jumpsuit than a dress.
She changed the course of media and how women looked she was ahead of her time with the looks and the fashion she signify herself as a star. Without Marilyn Monroe we wouldn’t have Iconic looks at the Oscar’s or the red carpets because of her.

Travilla is my favorite old Hollywood designer because of the Marilyn Monroe costumes. They were a great match!
Surprised the pink Niagara dress isn’t way higher!!!
En éste centenario de vida Marylin Monroe siempre tiene su lugar en el mundo y su estilo es totalmente incomparable para la generación de hoy y ojalá que éso sea siempre tendencia para hoy
Interestingly, the dress from the 1954 musical There’s No Business Like Show Business is actually creamy yellow with purple trim. That’s how the dress was originally designed. In the film, the entire dress is only in shades of blue.
Joe DiMaggio was unhappy with all the attention his wife was receiving from other men while filming the scene over that grating. Men kept cheering her on, so she kept going.
As I understand it, when they were alone again, he beat her savagely, and she left.
So much has been said about DiMaggio stalking her for the remainder of her life as if it were romantic. I don't think there's anything remotely positive about it at all.
She was silenced by his popularity and her own. She must have been terribly frightened.
Happy 100th Birthday Marilyn Monroe 🎂✨️ Rest In Peace ❤️✨️
I can be all the covered & STILL giving sexyyyy. I adore this woman. ♥️
ffs I am practically begging you all to find another word other than "iconic". Get a Thesaurus (it's a book of words that have other words as options for adjectives…and adjective is a descriptive word). Please learn more words. Also… since everything is iconic now, nothing is iconic. Thanks.
Her husband’s were not very good looking
