Prince Harry (the Duke of Sussex) has visited several prominent military and veterans' rehabilitation, recovery, and medical facilities around the world, often in connection with his work for the Invictus Games Foundation. I looked up the Invictus Games Foundation to see how much money they donate to these facilities compared to what they use to put on the games. The U.K.-based Invictus Games Foundation brought in ยฃ3.83 million ($4.9 million USD) in total income according to their latest audited Charity Commission filings. Their financial outputs operate on two levels:Direct Grants: They distributed smaller localized sports recovery grants to participating international veteran programs (usually ranging from ยฃ5,000 to ยฃ20,000 each). The 2025 Games Expenditure: Their biggest output went into organizing the major winter tournament. The Vancouver-Whistler 2025 Invictus Games Final Report indicates that a total of $63.2 million CAD ($46.2 million USD) was spent to stage the event for 543 competitors. Half of the money used to put on the games came directly from the Canadian taxpayer.
