This is always the way, and it’s so cruel and insulting.
Before ai even, it was just feeding kids really ugly CGI slop that’s been pumped out from animation sweatshops in the global south.
These companies just think “your children do not have developed brains, they deserve slop and nothing else”. Its legitimately outrageous.
It’s not like there aren’t creatives out there that specialise in making content for children that you could commission. But no. Cheap, poor quality trash content that has no worth, just to save a cent on the dollar.

A great time to remind people that this is happening while our government targets PBS who still puts out quality content. PBS has appropriate, relevant, and intentional about entertaining with important lessons for children.
I originally had the 3 year deal when it first launched which was extended through my Verizon plan to keep me on without being a subscriber (so built into my phone plan). When I switched phone companies saving $50 a month I ran out the rest of my 3 years. I would not subscribe for the price it is now it’s ridiculous and you can’t block shows.
Since then I’ve pulled out my old DVDs and started thrifting more and going to the library for what we don’t have. The only way that Disney hurts is boycotting or they’ll just push out whatever slop.

Live action failures and AI garbage? What a business model.

Companies are working so hard to justify the “success” of their investments in AI-related stuff that they’re releasing this unpolished slop for free.
