    1. > Sharing a description of the event alongside his own commentary, Smith’s caption reads: “The half-time show, which has been curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, will feature Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira and the K‑pop boyband BTS. Fifa’s president, Gianni Infantosser, has described the half-time show as ‘groundbreaking spectacle’ that will ‘celebrate football, music and our shared values, ensuring a legacy that transcends the final whistle.’ AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH… #Breadandcircuses #MUGWANK #pleasejustf–koff.”

      He’s not wrong

Everyone complaining about the halftime show are the same people that will be tuning into the game, somewhat does this prove exactly? FIFA is justified in doing this as long as they know it’s going to be the most watched event on the planet in 2026.

My night has become much better since I have become amused to hear the head of a corrupt FIFA who wants to “share their values” is called Infantosser, who ironically is buddy with Trump.

As for Smith, I’m in complete agreement with him.

All I’ve seen these past few weeks is people complaining about this soccer thing and yet still tuning in to watch.

If it’s so corrupt and easy to hate, why keep watching?

So, is he hosting an alternate halftime show?
It’s not that deep, go pee and warm up fresh snacks if you don’t want to watch.

I have become exactly the age that I can’t be arsed to care about other people’s opinions. I am also of the generation where no one cared about your feelings so you just dealt with them quietly on the side. The world could use a little correction back in that direction.

    7. To be fair subjecting them to Coldplay is probably the best revenge England can get on Argentina.

Hah, love the Cure’s music. Cool to know Robert also has good takes. I totally get a performance of a song for the world cup but a whole half time show is a bit odd, doesn’t seem like something any of the soccer blokes I know would appreciate.
