Ever since it was announced on February 18, 2026 that a Disney princess turned queen from Frozen II is voicing Movie #AmyRose, there were no reports or rumors about Disney trying to prevent #SonicMovie4 from getting the IMAX screening for March 19, 2027 like they did with #SonicMovie3 back in Dec. 2024.

Even Disney wants to see their queen bring Movie #Sonamy to life in IMAX with Movie #Sonic. Whatever cold spite Disney had towards the SCU, they learned to 🎵Let It Go

It is incredibly satisfying when a casting choice just clicks perfectly like that! The chemistry between Kristen Bell and Ben Schwartz is already legendary—anyone who watched them bounce off each other as Eleanor and Clyde on House of Lies or in their various comedy bits knows they have that fast-paced, witty dynamic down to a science.

Bringing that established energy into the Sonic cinematic universe makes the dynamic between Sonic and Amy feel natural right from the jump. Plus, going from voicing an iconic character like Anna in Frozen to playing Amy Rose shows she has the perfect range for a character who is both incredibly sweet and fiercely independent

Also, the writers made it very clear in a past interview back in late December 2024 that they want to do justice to Movie Amy’s character and Jeff Fowler stated that Sonic Movie 4 is their best Sonic Movie yet. Co-Producer Tyson Hesse loves Amy Rose and wants fans to love her also. Remember, Amy Rose was the most requested Sonic character for the SCU.
