Throwback to Matt Damon (2011) asking for better wages for teachers and defending them from a cameraman who said that 10% of teachers are bad: “Well, okay but maybe you’re a shitty cameraman, I don’t know”

    1. “Matt Damon’s Mom,” don’t bother to learn her real name, addressing her like she’s a childhood friend’s mom where you don’t know her first name.

    2. Judging by the fact he can’t keep that thing still he is a shitty cameraman

I can easily believe 10% of teachers are bad (I’m married to a good one and I have seen secondhand how many people go into that field for terrible reasons that do not include a genuine desire to teach), but that doesn’t have any bearing on how much I think they should be paid. In a word with universal basic income, sure, let’s base wages primarily on individual performance. But we do not have UBI and arguing that an entire profession’s pay should be downgraded based on the fact that a small percentage are not particularly good at or passionate about the job is bonkersville logic
