God, I am so sick of hearing about people getting killed by cars and drivers. And it feels like it’s getting worse.

God how tragic. I can’t imagine this as a parent. Love to her family.

Oh my heart. I just said to my kid yesterday, Kaylee is my favorite part of the monster verse. This is so sad.

Devastating. I’m a huge goji & kaiju dork and love the Monsterverse, so it was hard enough to even think of her as being 18 bc my mind always remembers the little girl whose friendship with Kong actually made me love him. It’s really hard to portray a human character in those movies that people actually care about but she was easily the best one in any of them. I’m so heartbroken for her family, losing a child that young is horrific. It hit extra close to home because I lost my aunt in MD in a car accident 20 years ago, my baby cousin survived in her car seat with no memory of it. Drivers down there are a level of reckless stupid and crazy that’s hard to describe if you’ve never been in the DMV area.

Gozilla vs. Kong is my favorite monster movie ever and she brought such a heartfelt aspect to it. I’m truly saddened.

The one thing I look forward to from AI is real, high quality, automated driving. People can’t be bothered to not look at tiktok, be sober, or just pay attention and this in the result 😪

That’s so sad. She’s one of the best parts of the Monsterverse. And she was so young. My heart goes out to her family.

Reading this as I’m sitting at the drivers’ school waiting for my kid who just turned 16 to finish taking their driving test.

The tyranny of the personal automobile will be looked back upon as one of the worst mistakes of the last century. So many preventable, senseless deaths. Suffocating the life out of our shared environment. Alienating us from each other. Wasting countless precious hours of our days in traffic. Draining our financial resources on top. Desecrating the air we breathe. This is so fucking sad and senseless.

That’s insane to think someone so young passed away and the driver likely kept going or will get less than 15 years in prison

Why are we so dependent on car travel when it’s the most dangerous form of transit by a large, large, LARGE margin?

This is awful. Poor kid, so much ahead of her.
I don’t see any mention of this being DUI related, so I hope we don’t learn that the driver at fault was under the influence. I fucking hate drunk drivers.

Over 40,000 Americans are killed each year in car accidents. Just a casual 9/11 each month. Gotta go fast!
