Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s widow Tenisha Warner filed a $1.2 million lawsuit against his mom Pamela Warner—the manager of his trust—over alleged unfulfilled prenup matters before the actor’s death. According to court documents obtained by E! News, Tenisha filed a creditor’s claim and related civil lawsuit in Georgia, as well as a separate California petition involving the Warner Family Trust. Tenisha alleges Malcolm failed to fulfill several financial promises included in their premarital agreement, including maintaining a $1 million life insurance policy naming her as the sole beneficiary, making annual tax-free payments, funding a Roth IRA and paying her a monthly salary for serving as his chief of staff. In the California filing, Tenisha is also asking to be recognized as an “omitted spouse” entitled to a share of Malcolm’s 1996 trust, which she alleges makes no specific provision for her or the couple’s 9-year-old daughter. Malcolm died in a drowning accident while vacationing in Costa Rica on July 20, 2025, at age 54. I always wonder what will the children think when they are old enough to understand the monetary fight.
Depending on how much money his estate has, the mom should just give her the money. I mean his widow has a 9 year old daughter which is the mom’s granddaughter….His will hadn’t been changed since the 90s!!! And they were married how many years??? Did he do this on purpose??? He was rich and famous why didn’t he set up his wife and daughter??? Why don’t we think about death and prepare our family members??? This is sad… I hope the widow and daughter get something!
Malcolm's mom (Pamela) should be ashamed. Tenisha should not have to sue his mother for money she's entitled to which will benefit their daughter.
Their family is too small for this foolishness. Malcolm would want Pamela to do right by his wife and daughter. I hope this is resolved out of court.
