      It’s the fluids for the kidney health and that slightly premium food.

      Genuinely if most cats received kidney-health centric care as they got older they would all live into their 20s. Most cats dying of natural causes are dying due to kidney failure.

      He runs an Instagram for his cat where he writes the captions as if Thunder Cat (which is his cat’s name) is writing them- talking about his “little dog brother” and stuff, and it is the CUTEST thing

      This was the sweetest thing ever. It came up on my IG a couple days ago probably because I watch a lot of cat videos. If you have a cat look into ways to improve kidney function as that will help your cat live the longest. My vet likes to say that all cats are born in kidney failure as it’s so common and makes sure my cats aren’t dehydrated.

      With the right attention and care, cats can live to be far longer than most people think – some guy in Texas had the oldest and fourth oldest cats of all time. They lived to be 38 years and 3 months (Creme Puff) and 34 years 2 months (Granpa). The guy converted his garage into a cat paradise with climbing features, nature TV, an attached catio, etc, and fed them a diet of broccoli, eggs, turkey bacon, coffee with cream (???), and an eyedropper full of red wine every other day (???). This photo is of Creme Puff when she was 29. My family’s oldest cat lived to be 22 and he looked HAGGARD by 16, but he kept on going.
