If Jim had already established himself as a top selling author AND got serious good reviews, having an event advertising Aniston’s presence might be more palatable. Because they would be equals, both proving they had already made it on their own in their respective professions. But even in that situation I would not do it, or at least not advertise the fact Aniston would be there. It just makes him look like a user and her look desperate. However, if ALL the proceeds went to benefit the Y or another charity it would be fine.

They both (or maybe just him) are aware of the power dynamics/ imbalance. This is not his first book, he knows how these press tours work. He knows that he can just announce an event without using that he’s attached himself to Jen, which is pathetic. And what is her role? Is it a Q &A and she’s interviewing him on stage? Is she just announced to sell tickets? She can absolutely be there to support her partner but it’s different than being there to get butts in the seats.. oh Jen..maybe she should have tried to get back with Brad 😂
