    1. It is absolutely not something that should ‘be a part’ of doing the work he’s doing and my faith in humanity diminishes even more knowing that people like him have to ‘accept it’ if they want to speak out the way they do.

It’s unhinged that people are giving this amazing man death threats. It’s the cost of being a public figure nobody should pay.

This is horrible. No one should be receiving threats so their lives for speaking out for what’s right. The fact that it’s become so normalised says far more about the people perpetuating it than it does about those brave enough to keep speaking anyway.

    4. what a heavy burden to carry, and for what? possessing empathy and compassion for your fellow human. this world will never make sense to me.

    5. It always feels like he’s the only educated people in US politics when he answers questions asked.

    6. Protect this man and his family.

I’m not even in NYC, but the amount of racist, hateful rhetoric that I saw coming from both parties towards him during his run was sickening.

I really, truly hope that he and his family are being protected from all of this insanity.

And I’m sure these threats are from the “non-violent” Right. 🤣🤣🤣They are trying to make it like Nazis aren’t racist.

May you and your family stay safe and protected and know You Will Go Down in History along with the Sacrifices of your Family as A Beautiful Loving Human Being!

It’s a harsh reminder that not everyone sees the immense good that he is doing, the kindness and empathy he shows. A harsher reminder that Muslims aren’t afforded basic religious tolerance. I particularly feel for his wife; it’s particularly unfair that someone should be targeted because of a family member in politics.

    10. I fully expect him to go as far as possible in his political career. But I was surprised when my husband said he doesn’t think Mamdani will ever even make Governor. He said NYC is very different to the state of New York and there’s too many haters for him to become the governor. That made me sad.

    11. I hope he can stay safe, I liked that her called out Israel/Benjamin, but it was shortly followed by anxiety that he may not have the security he needs while being in public.

I went through a friendship breakup earlier in the year because a friend of mine turned out to be a raging Zionist. Only reason it came out is because she mentioned Mamdani and she said his name with a loathing tone, which totally took me off-guard because this (ex) friend is progressive on basically every other issue.
