      This is actually fire. It is obviously pretty expensive to shoot something like this but I feel like if this was done in todays day, people would love it and would actually get some ROI

      I would love more production details from this, how they got the models on the various icebergs, what were they wearing in between, what were safety procedures, what was the temp that day etc. absolutely beautiful shoot and would love to know the effort behind it.

      Mugler to the models: some of you may not come back, and that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make.

      But srsly, such blatant disregard for safety just for some photos is not cool or iconic.

      This bothers me for a couple reasons: safety, and impacting nature. Glaciers are obviously fragile, why are we not only risking models’ lives but also damaging them?

      The shots are amazing, but they put the entire crew but especially the models in very real danger for this. Not worth it in my opinion.

      I mean, I absolutely love the drama of it all, but I hate how fashion risks the health and safety of its models. Surely a set or staged safer environment would have been able to give off a similar vibe.

      Plastik is such an odd account, sometimes they’re trying so hard to be “woke” that it’s just cringe as fuck (‘The Odyssey being shown in 70mm IMAX is classist’) and then you get “look how stunning these photos are, the models could have died” with no commentary on the ethics. Wild.

      I mean the pics look incredible, but they make me think of Michelle de Swarte’s bits about when she was a model, being told to look gorgeous in various bizarre circumstances.
