Isabel is the daughter of Archduke Simeon of Austria and Princess María of Bourbon-Two Sicilies and Carlos is the son of Carlos de Palacio y Oriol (son of the 3rd Marquess of Villareal de Álava) and the late Teresa Gaytán de Ayala y Domínguez (daughter of the 2nd Marquess of Tola de Gaytán and the 8th Countess of Rodezno).
