    The White House Tik Tok account has used a second Katy Perry song


    The TT account used a second song, and now a direct clip from her music video, combined with the last bombing video they used the first time. This is the first time I have seen them use an artists image, what will the recourse be? This is the first time I think an artist might have the ability to sue. Thoughts?

      Please stop further promoting this, they are shameless despite several artists advocating against their use for their propaganda. And somehow it’s only female artists who get the brunt of the shame, its pathetic and we shouldn’t participate in this.

      I know this is a stretch, but my immediate thought is that trump keeps doing this to KP specifically because she’s dating Justin Trudeau, and he hates Canada.

      You mean the song she literally partnered with the US Army for recruitment for? I’m completely for pushing back against this regime but for Katy to have a problem with bombing kids in the Middle East when that’s what they’ve been doing since was partnered with them rings really hollow for me

      IIRC they used some footage of Sabrina too the second time they used her music. They like to try and punish the female artist who clap back and denounce them, but in general the pop girlies have told them to get fucked and moved on.

      unfortunately there’s not much she can do about it…she doesn’t own her catalog anymore, so she can’t sue (she also can’t sue because its the president engaging in official duties… yes… I know… that’s insane, but that’s how the supreme court says it works).

      And it has repeatedly. They want drama and by responding you get drama.

      My thoughts are that I dont know why these are posted and given so much attention, whether the artist respond or not. I wouldn’t know what the white house is posting if it wasn’t for pop circles posting it all the time and I dont get why the songs or videos that are used seen as such an important issue.

      They are clearly trolling and getting the attention they wanted.

      Its not the first time they used videos of others though, I remember them taking SNL footage which SNL never responded to

      I love this song. She got dumped so hard she joined the marines, and then while in the marines she got to sing under a tarp.

      It actually really captures the marine experience.
