It’s so beautiful the way some people show up for their trans kids. It was Trans Pride in my city recently and I saw so many parents with their trans kids.
I wish my parents ever did anything like that so I know how much it means to those who have that loud support

I really appreciate how she acknowledges the environment her dad and grandpa grew up in. Overcoming beliefs engrained in us as children can be really difficult, but each of us is capable of change — should we be open to it. Dwayne and Gabrielle (stepparents are important too!) have set a great example of unconditional love and support
