Superhero movies and shows have been bombing left and right. The only ones making money are the marquee big names like spiderman, batman, Superman. There’s going to be a huge contraction of superhero content being shelved after Supergirl.

Booster gold would have been legit.

I’ve said it before, James Gunn jumped straight to MCU phase 5….. Skipping over building a solid foundation for Random tv shows and movies about minor characters

Motherfucker. This had the potential to really build and explore the whole DC universe that Gunn was creating, but fuck that I guess.
Between this and their gritty modern western interpretation of Green Lantern I am really fucking cooling off on the hype for the DCU.

Stop letting these “artistic freedom” asshole writers make shows and movies and let the basement dwelling nerds do the scripts!

Superhero fatigue is real … They’re not going to pump millions of dollars to make a show that’s not going to succeed. Especially after Supergirl made like negative 150 million

Literally never heard of this IP so not surprised it’s getting binned.
I think people are finally sick of cape slop

I think the writing is kind of on the wall here. Gunn is cooked.
Superman: did okay, but still below predictions.
Supergirl: record setting nuclear bomb.
The Authority: cancelled.
Booster Gold: cancelled.
Waller: cancelled.
Paradise Lost: most likely cancelled.
Swamp Thing: most likely cancelled.
Brave & The Bold: same team as The Flash with the same writer as Supergirl. Half will hate it, half will do nothing but defend it.
Clayface will probably do fine, thanks to Flanagan and Watkins.
And then… Jimmy Olsen & Gorilla Grodd? A fast tracked Superman sequel that is just Frankensteined together from old, never produced ideas?
Yet another DC film universe crashes and burns. Say what you will about Snyder, at least he had an end point he was going for with a Justice League trilogy and then handing it off to reboot again.

Booster has always been one of my favorite characters but he needs to be pared with Blue Beetle/Ted Kord or he doesn’t work. Booster isn’t a stand alone character.

Expected. It’s hard to get B and C list superheroes to head their own works. It’s a circular issue: they’re unpopular because of lack of adaptations, but they lack adaptations because they’re not popular.
