There really is an odd sort of rush to put celebrities in a political box and label them whatever suits the narrative in the moment, and the loves to use it to launder social capital by making it seem like more people are on their side than there actually are, and the left loves to use it to cleanse themselves of moral cooties by never getting over the time whatever actor/singer/personality politely shook the hand of someone more on the other side. It’s exhausting enough to witness and has to be crazy-making to live.
