Not excusing her in particular, but I’ve known plenty of smart women who have dated/married/reproduced with a loser partner.
I almost feel like Ashley is part of a long con on Elon to prove how easily he would just send his sperm to any woman who asked with very little looking into who they are as people- even when Ashley was “right wing” it all felt very tryhard and like her heart wasn’t in it – whatever her motives, I always enjoy her skewering takes

I’m also side eyeing her with healthy scepticism, however I can acknowledge that she was dragged into the MAGA sphere as a homeschooled teenager and encouraged by some very well funded people with clear agenda’s to be a mouthpiece for the cause. If we can’t allow someone who was targeted as a teenager to try and do the right thing (and actively show she’s doing so), what’s the fucking point?

Come on, we can do way better about pushing back on the Nick Fuentes / Hasan comparisons. It’s literally so lazy and every time it’s brought up, I feel like no one actually forces the people saying it to explain what they mean.
I also literally got into an argument with a friend about Ashley’s rebranding to the left (my argument being, we live in a society that rewards grifting and we should stay suspicious of someone who was a consenting adult choosing to reproduce with the world’s most cringe fascist and then surprised pikachu’d when he turned out to be exactly that. Absolutely believe people can change and grow a conscience; do not believe we need to hand them a massive platform and accept them wholesale when it’s been five minutes)

I’m not sure if anyone here is aware of how politics work in Putin’s Russia. It’s not a one party state like the PRC. There are many different parties, some center left, center right, far left and far right.
The politicians of course are all chosen by the Kremlin which also chooses their party and affiliation. Sometimes they will decide to change a politician from left to right or vice versa. It’s all part of the theatre of democracy in Russia and a big part of how they control the narrative.
