    1. It’s all very performative and brand-conscious (like come on, burgers on the carpet? Is she gonna eat them cold? 😂) but I really don’t mind it one bit.

And I didn’t know about the endo thing! That’s cool.

    2. My wife has Endo and it’s a daily struggle for her. I am always so happy when I see big names bringing attention to it as it seems commonly overlooked and misunderstood.

I hope I’m wrong but theres something about his whole schtick with this thats a little…off. The only thing that cold shake shack is for is the cameras. Always grateful for the endo awareness though so I’ll give him that.

    4. Look I’m a hater to my core but I can’t bring myself to snark on his love for her. He just seems to really love, like, and respect his wife.

Oh god are we gonna have another 300 comments about how she’s a bad mom?

Edit: just learned that Shake Shack is maga? Boooo tomato tomato. I liked their cheese fries too.

Edit Edit: Shake Shack is not maga! I checked, my cheese fries are safe lol

    6. I love his quote about advice because in the full video (idk if I can link because it’s from x/twt), the interviewer asks him, “what advice would you give her?” And his response was something like, “I don’t think I can give her advice, she’s got this down to a science and knows what she’s doing.”

Ya know, if we shit all over a man supporting his wife and calling it performative… it’s not really gonna inspire other men to start treating women well and supporting them..

    8. phoebebridgersfan26 on

I really don’t understand people calling this performative? I mean like I’ve lost hope in love recently but damn, y’all don’t believe that a man can love his wife??

Here come the comments of people trying to find something wrong with these statements.

They seem like such a good pair! We dont see enough of supporting spouses and loving them out loud

    11. for some reason, this is parasocial, he reminds me of my husband and how he supports me. supportive but making sure i’m okay. i didn’t see much of that from my parents and my mom deserved better.

For people criticizing Barbara – she is a model, she’s 33 and her career is only going to be so long. I’m not sure she can take a year off from what she does and have much to go back to.

Maybe we can talk about how frustrating it is for women to be valued for such a short period of their lives instead of criticizing them for having to compensate for that?

    13. Minute-Aioli-5054 on

Can’t even say something supportive of his wife without being criticized or nitpicked. I’m so glad I’m a nobody that no one (outside of my family and friends) cares about 😅

I hope they’re together forever. It’s so rare for celebrities show this much appreciation for each other. Obviously we are not entitled to anything about their relationship but one can only hope that in these dark times that someone’s love can shine some hope for us hopel romantics haha

    15. i see based on the warning that a lot of y’all are still determined to be miserable

anyway i like them a lot

My life has been smashed to pieces by stage 4 endo, and if there’s one thing I’ve understood from reading the endo sub horror tales, a supportive partner is a god-send. Good on him. I hope her surgery managed to remove what was there and that she doesn’t get bad scar tissue.

    17. WomanFromBalkan on

i love how cute they are! like how Dylan cheering on Barbara become such a moment. This is genuinely fun to watch.

    18. thunderstormsxx on

idk they seem sweet. seems whenever a man acts loving towards his partner it’s labeled cringe and not normal. makes no sense.

    19. xxyourbestbetxx on

Doing all that with endo is amazing. There are some days I can’t even get out of bed. I know VS is problematic in general but I thought him cheering her on was super cute..

    20. I love that she felt confident enough to do it. I love that her husband has shown nothing but support for her, everywhere and everytime. I have no discussion on her health and medical fitness at this stage in her postpartum, and I wish her all the health and happiness and personal fulfillment. She looked beautiful, and I hope she felt beautiful.

      But.

I hate that “bouncing back” and VS are being plastered in my face at an insane rate. I hate that thin and waifish is coming back into fashion. I hate that new mothers and pregnant women have to listen to commentary on their changing bodies from every person they come into contact with. I hate that “bouncing back” is seen as an act of commitment and worthiness, as opposed to mostly just a genetic lottery and environmental/socioeconomic factors.

Mostly I hate that even having these very important conversations still manage to be lose/lose for women.  Fertility, pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum are all judged so harshly by society. There are so many expectations, and your body not behaving exactly as expected in any of these very massive changes is treated as almost a character flaw.

    21. Does he have a project coming up, or something? I’m genuinely confused why *he* keeps being posted so much. She walked the runway. She did a job. Why is all the emphasis on him? Who is literally not doing more than just giving applause?

    22. Miserable_Emu5191 on

The pictures of “our kids” had me rolling. I hope his daughter does get his sense of humor.

Does he not realize a lot of babies are born with blue eyes and they change as they get older?
