I need to watch this man get to narrate Trump leaving the White House for the last time

I need him, Colbert, and Oliver to come out with a new channel or way of getting info the way they present it
I’m worried about Oliver with the paramount thing being official, and that they’ll slowly phase him (and Stewart) out once we all forget who owns these media companies
Loved the strike force 5 podcasts (except for Jimmy Fallon – he can go away with how he bends the knee)

The show has been getting its best ratings in almost decade with him back and his monologues are regularly huge hits on YouTube
Also interestingly, this is the same guy who made the call to cancel Colbert 👇
*“Jon Stewart is a generational talent, and The Daily Show continues to be one of the most influential franchises on television and a cornerstone of Comedy Central,” said George Cheeks, co-chair and chief content officer of Skydance TV. “We are excited to continue our partnership with Jon and his award-winning news team.”*

John Stewart has lost his fastball. I used to love this show. Then he left, and it sucked. Now he’s back, and it still sucks

I take it he’s not running for president out of left field then.

Very delightful to know that one of the strongest combattants stays at the frontline during the ever continuing war on bullshit.

I know this to some may seem extreme but I honestly think having Stewart not on nightly when Trump ran in 2015 – 2016 OG POTUS run hurt the chances of Dems.
Trump basically got wall to wall coverage in 2015 & 2016 and most solely saw his campaign rallies and not much else when he ran.
I think having these sorts of people on TV like Stweart helps certain people see that it’s batshit how Trump is POTUS.

I think him and Sean Hannity share the same wig

Honestly he’s kind of soured on me. From mocking block walkers, one of *the most* impactful thing an individual can do in an election, to mocking people who didn’t like Platner. And then mocking people for saying Trump was a fascist.
The man is, in my opinion, out of touch. He’s a net positive. But I just don’t find him as interesting as Desi Lydic and some of the other hosts

This guy will do anything to avoid being a great politician 😂

I made the point somewhere else – but if John Stewart was effective he wouldn’t have this job.
He’s managed opposition, a way to make it seem like there’s a reasonable voice in the media but his voice will almost always only ever harm democrats.

‘Member when Jon Stewart was one of the people who lent their voice to the idea that Graham Platner was a good candidate and that his obvious and numerous failures as a human being were just those awful, terrible, no-good very-bad establishment Dems having sour grapes that a true and honest working class left wing man had finally arrived to fulfill the prophecy?
And then it turned out that Platner was a rapist?
Because I do. Jon’s lost the plot, couldn’t care less what he has to say. It’s not 2004 any more and I don’t get my political views from TV funnymen. Thanks for the laughs back in the day, though.

I hope he still has Josh Johnson on!

But why? Don’t get me wrong, loved him back then.
This current version just seems like a shell of the jovial host we once had.

I preferred Trevor Noah.
