it's obviously a paid post. and the org is getting what they paid for because the haters are bringing controversy which makes the post newsworthy which increases engagement and measurable social metrics. The controversy is entirely intentional. PS. paper straws and byo bags is a cost saving measure disguised as a green iniative. Maccas could've replaced cup lids with paper and it would've made no difference to the customer but by replaces straws, with a less functional paper straws that dissolves before you finish your drink, they are intentionally making the general public resentful of environmental initiatives ensuring that they are held less accountable for their environmental impact in the long term by changing attitudes
