all right from Washington we go to
Indianapolis as you take a look outside
you can see that the sky is looking uh
pretty sunny there yes and the camera’s
bouncing around Ashley uh we can expect
some storms at some point um I think
tomorrow we’ll go back to seeing storms
we were Stormy this morning I don’t know
if you heard it um heavy downpours of
rain rumbles of Thunder we had the whole
nine yards this morning it was crazy out
there but now we’re dry out um
temperatures remain pretty mild I think
tomorrow it’s possible that we hit 80 H
yeah but after we hit 80 thunderstorms
are roll through so ready for this I
love how Ashley you build us up and then
you smack us down bring us right down I
I enjoy that we know you do yeah but
here’s the thing the weekend doesn’t
look too bad see I build your back up
there um weekend doesn’t look too bad
it’s dry with temperatures near 60 which
is typical for this time of year okay so
today 74° 86 as we look to the South
here temperatures were warm today
comfortable even and most of the day as
I prom yesterday has been dry this has
not been a rainy day for us at all now
we see air a little bit cooler to the
north as we move forward here in this
forecast what you’re going to notice
here is that as we dry out and clear out
temperatures will fall so looking at the
cloud cover right now we are I call it
partly cloudy to even mostly cloudy
we’re going to decrease this cloud cover
throughout the day and we’re going to
bring some sunshine your way tomorrow
right now we’re at 70 for Indie 79 as
you look into French L 68 for cooko 70
for you in Muny temperatures falling
slowly tonight winds they’ve been Gusty
all day right so we’re just used to this
currently sustained wind coming in at
around 20 to 30 mph when gusts or force
of the wind coming in for us um at about
30 to 40 m hour we’ve had wind gusts as
strong as 45 in Indie today so it’s been
a windy day all day and we’ll keep winds
around for you tomorrow as well as we
look at the rain chances in this
forecast here we’re dry tonight and I’m
not expecting rain in the overnight
hours your morning commute should be dry
tomorrow you’ll notice that as we look
at 8:00 at noon dry sunny but clouds
begin to build by 2 p.m. I think we
become mostly cloudy for the evening
commute and anytime after 4:00 or 5 p.m.
rain Moves In All right so let’s look at
futurecast our forecasting model here
this model showing showers starting to
slide into the north at around 2:00 p.m.
or so the shower activity begins to move
into into the state slowly and by about
6:00 p.m. we’ll see showers and a few
thunderstorms begin to roll into the
state at this point this is 6:30 light
rain starting to move into the 465 loop
with some heavier showers and
thunderstorms still sitting back to our
West as it’s slow to move in showers and
thunderstorms throughout the night the
potential for severe weather does exist
you’ll notice the deeper colors near
French Lick in area south and that’s
where we’ll see the strongest threat for
severe weather what are we talking about
here with this severe threat showers
linger into your Friday morning but no
severe threat for Friday morning the
severe threat is just for your Thursday
night isolated thunderstorms to
scattered storms slight RIS is where we
are hail and wind there is a lowend
isolated tornado threat but really hail
and win is what we’re talking about here
for your Thursday evening and night
Friday a little bit cooler we find
ourselves behind a cold front colder air
sinking in we’re only in the 60s hinley
Le 8 day forecast temperatures will drop
this weekend we’re talking 50s but near
normal cooler on Sunday but next week
settling back into a 60° Trend more
typical for this time of year
