forgot about that so you didn’t crack the memory with that one was literally look coming to school and we was able to point boy fellas we was able to point that out [Music] what’s good y’all it’s and we’re back with another video who we got today see today we’re back with another American reaction so excited about this video if you’re new to us new to you make sure you scroll down hit that subscribe button and turn on the post notification B cuz we’re on the road to 200k and we can there without you guys all right join the family without further Ado let’s get into the video Let’s Get It hello Internet welcome to style Theory the show that never ages no really I’m stuck like this forever but apparently the same can’t be said for one generation jenz hey hey don’t shoot the messenger it’s been hard to ignore post after post after post popping up on my feed saying gen Z is looking kind of old and before you go saying it’s the older generation hating on the youth even ji itself is wondering what the heck’s going on is older than me I’m not even going to sit here and deny that I don’t look old I’m 23 I thought she was early 30s I am 23 well sit back and put on a face mask because I’m about to solve the mystery and all my gen Z friends out there get ready to take some notes to figure out if gen Z is looking more mature we first need to know how old they actually are technically speaking to be considered gen Z you need to have been born between the years of 1997 and 2012 making the youngest of the group go ahead let run that for yall real quick real quick real quick looking more mature we first need to know how old they actually are technically speaking to be considered gen Z you need to have been born between the years of 1997 and 2012 and in 2012 so if you’re between this loophole especially if you’re a 2000’s baby you’re definitely gen Z just wanted to get that out there make sure everybody can mark the calendar and know what age group they in okay all right well making the youngest of the group of about age 12 and the oldest age 28 now that’s a pretty wide range but before any pre-teens start rushing out to the stores to buy wrinkle cream know that the people getting roasted for looking to overcooked are Elder Zoomers sitting roughly between the ages of 18 to 28 and though everyone may be talking about jenz looking old no one has actually been able to pinpoint why until now today I am taking you down the rabbit hole of what’s making your BFF look like they’re 52 instead of 22 let’s start with the one that keep popping up the most on my feed have been saying that JY looks older than their age I think a lot of this can be chalked up to them not necessarily looking like they’re aging faster really but styling themselves a lot older than their age thanks to social media and especially Tik Tok Jen Z has taken over the world of fashion they’re buying more ethical and sustainable items thrifting from vintage stores and upcycling old items from their closet and their families more and more gen Z are sourcing items from their parents and their grandparents giving those old forgotten items a new life meaning that their clothes are old and so are their Styles listen Jen has been busy creating Trend after Trend after Trend Cottage Corp old money dark Academia I was about to talk about that yeah so she’s not saying that you guys don’t got no swag she’s just basically saying that you’re upscaling your wardrobe higher than your age yeah you’re bringing the old things back yeah oh pushing never mind um so for us I remember coming out know was like white teas uh collar shirts cargo pants you know polos you know simple simple simple girls what baby fat yeah was the baby fat the big bees around their wrist you know what I’m saying it was everything was almost still like in the kidish format when you look back on it huh 100% 100% Wheels On The Shoes it’s you know simple stuff I bet some some of my Millennials especially if you’re from the south I don’t know if other people did this but um y’all remember when we used to to wear like the layers like we would have a um a shirt a collar shirt and then we’ll have a Camy on top of the collar shirt why did we do that why styish we was styish let so T well baby this this was a girl thing this wasn’t a boy thing no I was thinking about it the guys would put the collar the collar on um and then we would roll up oh yeah the sleeve a little you know what I’m saying the undershirt sht mhm put the undershirt underneath the C I feel like we were more planer we were we wore like a fuboo yeah um aosta Baby Fat City Rock aware rockware we wore like I uh the house of Darion um it’s a few things still Levi denim yeah yeah Coogi yeah I feel like yeah we we were about labels but like our stuff we wasn’t they dress more formal and elegant which I like I do like yeah but you know yeah but let’s see that’s one topic poal grandma grandpa core frazzled englishwoman yes these are actual Trends worn by actual people so do you see what links them all looking across this whole Spectrum I see one overarching theme old from the more fanciful vintage inspired looks of cottage core to dark academia’s use of Blazers and Tweeds it’s not just that the clothes are old or that the styles are old even the Fabrics that they’re choosing to wear are old timing gen Z is known for its love of loose casual fits and you see that at play here as well from the slouchy pants of the grandpas and the loose flowing blouses of the grandmas to the large coats and cardigans reminiscent of mid 2000s romcoms everything hearkens back to an older era and that in and of itself gives jenz a feeling of being beyond their years but clothes alone aren’t the only thing that has the internet putting jenz on blast so let’s take a look at the other giant red flag at police according to Tik Tok the reason that j z look so much older is because Millennials was not allowed to wear makeup in middle school it’s the amount of makeup that they wear and how good they are it aesthetic that focuses more on natural looking makeup maybe making the rounds right now Jen Z is no stranger to going ham on the makeup data shows that jenz started wearing makeup around 11 years old a whole 3 years earlier than when Millennial started wearing not only were they using makeup earlier they had something that no other generation had before at that age the internet and a slew of beauty influencers ready to teach them everything from how to find their perfect we’ve been having YouTube since our Middle School years but we’re looking at the popularity of it though we had it but we’re looking at the popularity of it okay the popularity I remember I even had a YouTube at one point but it wasn’t to a point where how I’m using it now you know what I’m saying I I think YouTube came out when we was in Middle School yeah it came out when we was in Middle School um so no but they had okay so for the girls we had wig influencers that’s how I learned how to do my own hair okay um Beauty influencers we had that so I don’t necess y going to school like that 24/7 when it came to hair yeah no makeup no when it came to makeup I only did ey Shadow I didn’t know nothing about Foundation none of that that’s why as I got older I’m like bab I’m done with this I’m not wearing this you know um and I feel like they are full Glam full like they know the different Aesthetics you know that’s why I’m in my 30s and I’m like I’mma get into makeup now you know yeah yeah I feel like man uh back in school now that I’m looking around and thinking about it I don’t remember too many young ladies putting a ho a whole face getting de up and coming to school lashes 24/7 coming to school I can’t I remember that only if they were on like the dance team like for those competition that’s when you would see it pop out right and that’s when I would wear it for game days yeah yeah but different that is a big difference not every day uh-uh M oh okay Foundation shade to contouring their face for the gods the height of the YouTube beauty Guru hit around 2010 when the oldest side of gen Z was just turning 13 and starting to experiment with their personal expression via their makeup so they turn to the popular faces of the time your miss glamorazzi your Michelle fawns and of course Zoella hello everyone this easy access to tutorials and product recommendations meant that jenz got a head start on every other generation when it came to developing their skills and it didn’t stop there style icons on Instagram like Kim Kardashian were known for their sharp cheekbones in angular jawlines which meant that when genen Z was learning how to paint their face they focused heavily on the Contour while this can make you look snatched it can also also make you look old how no that’s not just me making a weird sound it’s literally pffft plumpness firmness folds and texture these are the four traits we as humans use to identify youthful skin when we’re young our faces tend to be Fuller rounder and more plump this is because younger faces tend to hold more of one thing that yeah those baby cheeks that your grandparents love to pinch and say oh you’re so cute look that way because of a healthy layer of fat under your skin as you get older this collection of fat starts to deteriorate which then leads to a change in that youthful look your face will naturally start to become sharper as you get older so all that contouring is doing is putting you on a bullet drain to looking more like your mom or dad or your grandma and grandpa and jeny is actually taking this to a bigger extreme plastic surgery they started cosmetic injectables before she get to before she get to plastic surgery um I feel like there’s a that’s a truth to that you know what I’m saying a lot of people like to talk about how makeup can damage your skin if it’s really not treated correctly you know what I’m saying cuz I’m I don’t know anything about it but um it’s I think it’s like common sense at the end of the day too much of something can hurt you yeah at the end I just that’s how I look at it my grandmother always told me that and that’s why I was like fearful in a way of wearing makeup like even you know back in the days um when I did wear the ey Shadow she was like okay nah don’t be wearing all that makeup all the time wrinkles and stuff you’re get some clog pores you know so yeah it’s putting you on a bullet drain to looking more like your mom or dad or your grandma and grandpa and Jen Z is actually taking this to a bigger extreme plastic surgery they started cosmetic injectables way too young they didn’t need to be getting four syringes of fillers in their face when it comes to cosmetic procedures gen Z is starting earlier than any other generation no really as of February of this this year 75% of plastic surgeons reported a spike in patients under 30 there are a few reasons for this one is the increased emphasis on skin care over the past 3 to 5 years then you have the fact that most procedures are cheaper now than they ever have been before and of course you have the fact that jenz has grown up as the most visible generation in history thanks to social media and that comes with a lot of pressure the most common procedures for Gen Z incl include Botox fillers and cheek implants that help give you a more pronounced cheekbone all things that again help play into that very sculpted look made popular on Instagram and Tik Tok and well that is not even I remember when can I say I’m G say her name I don’t care Kyla Jenner okay when we saw her transformation and she’s a part of this generation I believe and so you have other girls her age it’s like hold up yeah I want that you know what I I don’t like this about myself let me get that growing up I didn’t know nothing about no fillers no nobody was doing that now it did start get started to get popular the the shots yeah in the end we’re starting to get popular um around like our high school years that was getting popular um but other than that before then people is getting butt pad pads pads pads I remember that error but pads falling out the shots yeah I remember that yes yo they wasn’t injected no nobody was changing anything about themselves what I forgot about that so you didn’t crack the memory or that one was literally look coming to school and we was able to point fellas we was able to point that out but um I just like to say that being young I feel like the generation j z was more accessible to stuff earlier than we were being young in our age we didn’t have as much um influence from social media because we wasn’t on it as heavy was outside you know what I’m saying and the only the only social media we had at the time really for us was mindspace we cracked to Facebook and we had the little count we grew with that but Myspace was our era that that was our era and we just knew people from school you know what I’m saying I mean that’s how that went it wasn’t no content on my not really at all your page andess making that thing Glam making it making it look fire like all that that’s what it was yeah um other than that there was like we didn’t that’s it we just didn’t have that I feel like with Jen Z compared to us as Millennials we wasn’t getting paid from no social media at all no j z is paid baby yeah y’ y’all came in at a good time they did really good time they did is paid a lot of them blew up off of social media at a young age because of the and the popularity just followed you know yeah yeah mentioning the most popular procedure of the past couple years Buckle fat removal for those of you who haven’t heard of it it is a procedure that removes a specific pocket of fat from your lower cheek and thus makes your face appear slimmer this procedure actually existed for decades but it exploded in popularity recently thanks to the rise of the influencer face that same sculpted angular look that started with the rise of contouring you even see it now in almost every IG and Tik Tok filter and Jen Z the first generation to grow up fully online is turning it into their reality Cas in point Kylie Jen who many call out as the poster board for changing your face with cosmetic surgery Kylie like the rest of jenzy has been trolled online for looking much older than her natural age because she’s lost that youthful Factor thanks to cosmetic procedures and the makeup that she wears and no shade here I’m not weighing in on her choices or if I personally find it appealing it’s just hard to say that this hasn’t had an effect on how old she appears yet while cosmetic procedures can put a Band-Aid on issues the long-term effects could actually make signs of aging worse according to the illuminate Skin Clinic while Botox May halt creasing effects of the muscles on the skin long-term overuse can sometimes weaken the muscles causing them to waste away elasticity is lost and you may start to notice deepening lines and wrinkles yes your preventative care could actually hurt you in the long run and doing it younger like in your early 20s or earlier could cause even more hazards like the thinning of your skin which can lead to sagging and wrinkles appearing earlier than they may have without the procedure talk about a double-edged sword or scalpel still not all of gen Z is going under the knife so once again we are left with a missing piece of this puzzle what is that missing piece you might ask stress they’ve grown up on social media which we all know impacts Mental Health and on top of that the pandemic I think that really did a number on them it is mainly because of the stress come here stress my dear friend we meet again now the truth is our dear Zoomers are no stranger to stress yep we have to talk about Co when it comes to Generations impacted by the pandemic gen Z sits at the tippy top of that list for most of them it hit during a key developmental point of their life the time where they were learning to connect with their peers process increased responsibility and develop their own sense of self a time when they were most vulnerable stress can do a number on your body it can lead to thinning hair changes in your skin like inflammation increased acne and rosacea and yes it can cause you to look older stress makes a cell in our body known as the skin MK cell activate and produce a hormone called cortisol cortisol among other things can cause your body to stop producing collagen however gen Z is not the only generation to go through a large scale traumatic event during their developmental years Millennials went through 9/11 the war that followed and a major recession Gen X went through the Gulf War while Baby Boomers had Vietnam and the assassination of JFK just to name a few so what makes what gen Z is going through any different according to them it’s the amount of stress multiple Studies have shown that gen Z says that it feels more stressed and more depressed than previous generations especially when it comes to things like like work money and health and that makes sense we are talking about a generation who’s come into adulthood during a recession pandemic political distress and an environmental crisis the downside is that claiming the title of most stressed generation doesn’t come with a shiny Crown it comes with wrinkles so what’s the final verdict has gen Z cursed itself to looking forever old well don’t start picking out your burial plots yet Zoomers because the answer is no you see this idea around genen Z looking old is just that an idea that has been repeated generation after generation none of these concerns are new I was watching in the city and they run into a group of 13-year-olds and they’re all like they look like they’re in their 20s sure right now our sites are set on gen Z but before that it was whether or not Millennials looked older than the kids of today why do these teenagers look so much older we give so much TV movie Producers for hiring 30-year-olds but apparently when they were in high school everyone looked 30 and before that we were talking about Gen X and Baby Boomers looking older when they were younger the truth is people are not aging faster or slower than previous generations so what really has people thinking Jens looking old it’s the fact that we as humans are bad at identifying Age based on sight alone I just don’t have a perception of age either you look really young or you look really old anything in between that I’m just going to assume you’re my age I just can’t tell the difference a study from 2018 found that on average when people tried to guess someone’s age they were about 8 years off which is about the range of mistaking a 22-year-old Zoomer for a 30-year-old Millennial wouldn’t you say it doesn’t stop there though that same survey found that we are more likely to Guess that a younger person is older and vice versa due to our own internal biases you see we judge faces based on other faces we’ve seen recently and what faces are we seeing now more than ever Millennials and gen Z are two ically online Generations yes we are so oversaturated with our own faces thanks to social media that it has skewed how we perceive each other and how others perceive us unlike in the past where situational context and in-person conversation could clearly help draw that generational line we’re all just shouting into a context free void of endless scrolling faces add in all those other factors we discussed today that help to blur the lines between one generation and another and it’s no wonder that no one knows how old anyone is anymore so whether you’re a Zumer or a millennial a Genex or a baby boomer remember age is just a number and we shouldn’t be fighting each other about who looks older than who because gen Alpha is coming for that’s just a theory that’s funny man hey make sure you guys go check our Channel out pretty dope content um I think at the end of the day I feel like it’s screen time you know what I’m saying I feel like Generation Z had more screen time than we did they had more Electronics put in their face at a younger age than we did like I said earlier we didn’t go into our uh upbringing with electronics in our hand we was told certain age you get to have this type of stuff right right but then as thatat says 14 years old they’re ready thinking about uh surgery you know what I’m saying so the influence of that is crazy for them right and not everybody wants these things that she mentioned facts of course you know um I’m trying to think back to like our childhood we didn’t have tablets we had um of course the learning things but we had like a m MP3 players we had yeah everything was in the pocket the iPads but it didn’t have like it was it it it wasn’t like a touchcreen we had the dial and things um what was those little walkerman not a walkerman those it was a little small little I can’t think of I know you talking about but you like yeah you put a taping it ain’t it yeah a little small tape and we had CD players so we didn’t have like these Electronics to connect with other people what came out the Beeper eror that’s why that’s why our Electronics evolved into what it look like still in the pocket still on your hip type of stuff very small easy to handle but now you got babies with tablets exactly muscles exactly and know how to um control it know how to control it mhm and for us to be raising Jin Alpha yeah yeah shout out to us they know it all they do yeah yeah yeah yeah so that was a cool video we hope you guys guys enjoyed it with us be sure to subscribe we’ll see you soon peace [Music] [Music] e

We layered everything back „in the olden days“ 😂😂
But honestly as not so rich Millenial I don't mind shopping 2nd hand either, if I find something that "fits"…I mean I have to give Gen Z my hats off to create "style-aesthics" with it.
We dressed young till marriage 😂😂😂 and still dressing our age
