Tom Brady REGRETS Netflix Roast Because of How Jokes Affected His Kids | E! News

you know like I said I I loved when the jokes were about me I thought they were so fun um I didn’t like the way that affected my kids Tom Brady is revealing how his comedy roast affected his family the former NFL quarterback is sharing that well he enjoyed most of the jokes during Netflix’s the greatest roast of all time earlier this month his three children Jack Benjamin and viven had a different reaction to some of the jokes Tom says this on the May 14th episode of the pivot podcast from that like did you learn anything new about yourself or any of your just throughout the whole throughout the whole part of the roast of the roast I you know like I said I I loved when the jokes were about me I thought they were so fun um I didn’t like the way that affected my kids so it’s the hardest part about like the Bittersweet aspect of when you do something you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world Tom who shares children Benjamin and viven with ex-wife Jazelle bunin as well as son jack with ex Bridget moan goes on to explain why he initially wanted to do the roast when I was going through all the deflate gate stuff in 2015 2016 I watched three things on TV I watch Premier League soccer I watch golf and I watch comedy shows cuz every time I turn on Sports I was like are you kidding me right so it it’s like I just want to like laugh and I and so I wanted to do the the roast cuz I the guy Jeff Ross became someone that I knew and and then I you know you just you don’t see the full picture all the time and the 46-year-old does think that going through that experience has been a good lesson for him as a parent adding this so I think the it’s a good lesson like for me as a parent I’m going to be a better parent as I go forward because of it um and at the same time I’m happy everyone who was there had a lot of fun and I do think for me just outside of let’s say that it always is good like if we’re not laughing about things we’re crying and I think we should have more fun like the guys like what do we love we love laughing in the locker room let’s do more of that and love each other and come on man celebrate other people’s success during the May 5th Netflix special Tom’s 2022 divorce from Jazelle was at the center of many jokes as was his split from Bridget in 2006 just a few months before the Blue Blood star announced she was pregnant with Jack comedian Nikki Glazer didn’t hold back when she compared his NFL retirement to his relationship with Bridget saying quote seriously Tom you are the best to ever play for too long you retired then you came back and then you retired again again I get it it’s hard to walk away from something that’s not your pregnant girlfriend it’s tough [Music]
