I didn’t talk to Charlies before filming the movie because I felt like I had to go on my own Journey with it but the second that I was done I was like hey we should get together and Swap War Stories because it’s such a specific experience I think the people that are drawn to making these movies are a very particular brand of crazy and I feel a deep kinship with anybody who’s made a madmax film cast crew alike because it feels like we’re forged in the same fire

_Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga_ star Anya Taylor-Joy joins British GQ as she revisits some of the most notable film characters in her career so far: from playing Casey Cooke in M. Night Shyamalan’s _Split_ to her leading role as Beth Harmon in _The Queen’s Gambit._

“I was very lucky to have a dance background,” explains Taylor-Joy as she breaks down her portrayal of Beth Harmon in _The Queen’s Gambit._ “Ballet specifically was really helpful in terms of discipline and understanding choreography.
