    1. None of the songs these days are classics. When was the last time you heard a classic? Love Takes Time by Mariah Carey is 30 years old and you STILL hear it on the radio. Dreams by Fleetwood Mac still plays and it's even older than that. The stuff that comes out now is gone within weeks.

    2. P, why is everyone firing their managers? Chappel, Dua…
Surely there are only a few music managers for this level of pop stardom? So there aren't too many other options for who they can go to?

    3. For me, it’s Karma. In all those interviews subtly criticising other artists because they sing about their lives and their shows that take so long etc. cheap, very cheap

    4. I think "Radical Optimism" is a fine pop album. I wasn't disappointed at all by Dua Lipa's newest album. My favorite song off the album, "Illusion" is that single which didn't even reach the Top 40 in the US. And my second favorite is an album track, "These Walls". I place the album at #7 for the year. Ahead of Billie Eilish's (#8) and Sabrina Carpenter's (#10). I think the only wrong with "Radical Optimism", is it wasn't as good as "Future Nostalgia". But, you can't expect every artist, who's in it for the long haul, to always top their previous work.

    5. I realized that U.K artists are more nonchalant by Grammy awards than American artist. Artists are selling out tours and have never seen a Grammy. Grammy artists have had to cancel tours due to lack of ticket sales.

    6. To each their own. For me, i love Radical Optimism album, my favorites songs are Illuision, Training season & Houdini. Me and my partner bought tickets to her concert in Wembley, London on June 20, 2025. We are so excited, can’t wait to see her perform live 🥰❤️😍

    7. 'These Walls' is also a really good song. But album aside, Dua had a triumph that introduced her to a new genre and audience when she dueted with Chris Stapleton on "Think I'm in Love with You at the ACM awards. Also check out her soulful cover of Cleo Sol's "Sunshine". She's experimental and giving us an idea of how she might branch out in the future.

    8. It's very difficult for non-American artists to sustain a streak of successful album and/or rebound after a "flop." American artists get much more parasocial relationships from their fans who are willing to support them through the valleys and peaks. Adele may be the only non-American female artist (and she's a generational vocalist).

    9. I love that album. I don't think it has anything to do with being missed bc Ariana grande sold her biggest sales with an album within a one year span with Thank You, Next. I think this had more to do with timing of release of the singles.

    10. She's had the year of her life though. Her Dad booked into a lot of great venues I guess. She seems to take on any challenge. Her year has included doing SNL, a concert in Times Square, NPR's Tiny Desk, headlining Glastonbury, a precusor Summer arena tour in Europe, dueting with Chris Stapleton at the ACM Awards, appearing on the BBC Radio 1 Lounge, playing Austin City Limits, beginning her major Radical Optimism tour with the Asia dates, appearing with Cher at her Rock Hall of Fame induction, and yesterday headlining her own prime time special from Royal Albert Hall on CBS.
