The connect four kid, really how much are you going to lose. I may just give the kid $10 just help him out and be on his way. Not being a fan of the game, I don't see my self taking time to stop and play the game.
Bracelet one happened to me my first time traveling abroad – I even knew what was happening, but 4 or 5 tall men surrounded me and put their hands on me when I tried to leave without paying. Basically mugging at that point? I don’t know. Safe to say I’ve been on super high alert for this kind of thing ever since and haven’t run into problems.

sometimes they also try to corrupt you with their super sad family situation, even showing photos in some cases.
most of the time i just give them some spare change, hoping their family stories are real and i'm actually helping.

If you can’t afford a taxi then do not visit any place. Drivers have to earn to eat cheap skates.
leaving the airport to go to our hotel for my brothers funeral, we took a taxi, who refused to use gps, missed multiple exits, and then at the end i saw the meter jump up in price after we stopped. never again.
