Barfi didnt move on from first love. Shruti was never his love.. While watching the movie, I never felt barfi loved shruti… Barfi always loved and cared jhilmil but he didn’t realise it first.. Shruti was more like his crush.. Shruti represents every beautiful modern girl in the society.. Everyone has crush on them, everyone wants them atleast for once, but not necessarily they loved her.. Even tho Shruti was most perfect lady standard wise still her life was miserable due to marrying wrong guy..meanwhile jhilmil, she got love and peace.. I guess people need luck to be loved.
It's not that she realised she made mistake instead she realised she cannot undo means she lost hope of them being together because he solely moved on completely.
