Ridiculous. He got drunk and decided to leave the bar. It's no one's fault but his own. Surely, millions of dollars will make the family feel better about his death. Gross.
Hurt people blame to avoid dealing with the pain. 😢
Poor lovely lad.
The parents' blame is misplaced. Blame bar staff if anyone at all.
IDT they will get justice, find healing or peace by going after his mates and the college itself.
Money and vengeance aren't analgesics. Or maybe they are for some.
Rest well young Riley. 🌷🥀🌷.
The parents cannot accept that their sweet child drank like a rookie and drawn 🤦
We can also blame the parents for not teaching their son to not get drunk. I was taught to not drink to get drunk and to always drink more water than alcohol. I was also taught not to drink at all when I am not with people who will care for me. He is an adult who made adult decisions. He wasn't raised to make the appropriate choices. As he was the only one speaks volumes. I think the suit is baseless and a money grab.
This is disgusting, he was a grown man, he made choices, and it ended badly, I am sorry for that, but it was his fault alone.
She is angry that they let her baby walk the street alone in that state…yeah she should be. They saw him get kicked out and said oh well. I do not know what Riley could have said to those bar employees but they were like get out and you get no cab or uber. This should give people incite on the frats and sororities, they are not what people think they are. You get the idea that your in something that is beneficial with unity, friendship and a bond and its not like that at all. Its the same thing the only difference is now you got dues and fees you have to pay. When you graduate its one thing that may or may not help you get the job
As both a high school teacher and a part time bartender, I have strong feelings about this…it’s a tragic story no doubt, but those boys are not at fault for the actions he chose to take. I didn’t hear anything about him being held down and plied with alcohol or drugged, so why would anyone else be held liable? Were they maybe poor friends? Fair. But if it was their formal and they had dates, chose not to drink to excess, and wanted to enjoy themselves, I don’t think it’s fair to paint them in this light because they didn’t leave when he got kicked out. The parents are understandably grieving and grasping for any sense of closure, but it’s not justice. They aren’t the same
I really went down the rabbit hole on this Riley story…rarely to we ever get a follow up a year later
That investigation was awful so many mistake’s made by the police and the college because it’s their fraternity ‼️ I pray 🙏🏻 that they get everything they sue for and get justice for Riley ‼️
My heart Breaks for this family
💔💔💔
🙏🙏🙏
When this happened i was ready to drive to Tennessee and help them find Riley!
Blame everyone expect thy self 💯 they want that $$$$ sad case poor Thang!
Morally guilty but legally not guilty. He was a grown man, he knew what he was doing.
