Meghan Markle is facing backlash for sharing a video of herself relaxing in a limousine near the Paris tunnel where Princess Diana got into her fatal car crash in 1997.

In the clip from Markle’s Instagram Stories posted Saturday, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, recorded her limo passing the bridges Pont Alexandre III and the Pont des Invalides from out the window at night.

Markle then turned the camera to show her putting her feet up and stretching them out in the car.

Markle’s limo was very close to the bridge Pont d’Alma, which is next to Pont d’Alma tunnel where Prince Harry’s mom got into the accident and later died of her injuries on Aug. 31, 1997.

Markle, who is in France for her first Paris Fashion Week, was slammed online by social media users after she posted the video.

“If driving towards Princess Diana’s death scene is a message to Prince William then Meghan Markle is the devil,” one person wrote on X, while sharing Markle’s clip.

“Instead of avoiding those places that the late Princess went to she went and recreated them, how evil,” someone else said.

“Why would she film the place his mother died? Moreover, why would she post it on social media for the world to see? Why?” another X user wrote.

“This is beyond disturbing. She had nothing whatsoever to do with Princess Diana so why is she doing it?” a different person tweeted.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams also slammed Markle, telling the Daily Mail that her video was “utterly bewildering,” “beyond stupid” and “insensitive beyond belief.”

“I don’t understand what on earth she was thinking – well, she can’t have been thinking. No adviser would ever advise doing something so strange,” Fitzwilliams said.

“I’m sure she didn’t mean to cause offense, she can’t have been thinking, but it’s insensitive beyond belief. It’s a complete absence of thought.” the royal expert continued.

Fitzwilliams added: “Diana’s death is a tragedy that has scarred so much of Harry’s life and I can’t imagine he would find this very appropriate.”

The Post has reached out to Markle’s reps for comment.

Diana was 36 when she died in Paris.

Her driver, Henri Paul, who had a concoction of prescription drugs and alcohol in his system, and was speeding at 65 mph, attempted to ditch paparazzi on motorbikes, and instead crashed the Mercedes carrying Diana and her partner Dodi Al-Fayed into a pillar inside Paris’ Pont de l’Alma tunnel.

She was rushed to Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital where she died of her injuries.

Diana’s sons William and Harry were 15 and 12, respectively, when the tragic accident occurred.
