Meghan Markle commanded attention as she spoke at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, attended the event in Washington, D.C., last week to talk about financial independence and her dreams of a better work-life balance. Meghan was joined on stage by Fortune’s editor-in-chief Alyson Shontell.

A video of Meghan’s discussion was shared on TikTok, with the former Suits actress seen holding her hands in her lap and crossing her legs as she spoke. Body language expert Judi James has analyzed the clip, telling The Mirror US Meghan managed to “project a degree of ‘specialness'” as she talked.

“Meghan’s body language is very mannered here as she delivers a rather over-complex message that includes the word ‘support’ said over around a half dozen times in a very short space of time,” Judi told us.

The expert continued, “It’s a very smooth delivery as she sits upright and formal with her legs crossed and her back straight. Her verbal delivery is seamless and equally smooth with some varied intonation that adds mild emphasis to make her words have gravitas.”

Judi also pointed out how Meghan “uses some gesticulation to add a degree of importance to her words,.” She said this including Meghan’s “signature trait of the meaningful blink where she flutters her eyelashes to hint deep thought and commitment to her message.”

“She looks elegant and important and projects a degree of ‘specialness’ via the smooth, synchronized movements and words that are rattled off with little in the way of pauses,” Judi concluded.

Speaking at the Washington, D.C. event, Meghan opened up about her home life and said she tries to not let her work get in the way of family time. “I want the life-work balance, if such a thing exists,” Meghan admitted.

The mom-of-two added, “I’m still going to go and chaperone the first-grade field trip, and then run back and try to finish the meetings.” She recently admitted in a podcast that she also loves to pack her kids’ lunches, saying, “That sounds ridiculous, but I love it.”

Meghan was also asked by Alyson what financial independence means to her. “Financial independence gives you the freedom of choice,” the Duchess of Sussex replied. “I think in this day and age, we all need to be able to have our autonomy and that is a huge element of that.”
