Olivia Munn Reacts to Kate Middleton’s Cancer Journey Transparency | E! News

Olivia Mun is in awe of Kate Middleton. The newsroom star, who shared her breast cancer diagnosis more than a year ago, opens up to E! Newews about finding inspiration in the Princess of Wales, who has been transparent about her own cancer journey. In an exclusive interview with E-News, Olivia says, “What really meant a lot was to hear Princess Kate Middleton say how difficult the phase after cancer treatment is,” adding, “Because those of us going through it understand that this second part of the journey can be really difficult and exhausting.” She adds, “When Princess Kate said that, she said something that I had been feeling but wasn’t able to articulate even to myself. I had those same feelings, but I was just looking at it as one big journey. But she’s right when she’s like, there’s this part and then there was the phase after that that’s really, really difficult. Kate revealed in March of 2024 that she had been diagnosed with an undisclosed type of cancer. She underwent abdominal surgery and in January shared that she was in remission. Olivia, who shares two children with husband John Melany, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. She has since undergone several surgeries, including a double mastctomy and hysterctomy. In the new interview, The Daily Show alum says she’s taking time for herself since her diagnosis, explaining, “I really appreciate slowing down and just doing things that are really peaceful and then not being hard on myself.
