Kate Middleton Shares Reason for Blonder Hair | E! News

Kate Middleton is reminiscing her blonde era after debuting her lighter locks then reverting back to brunette in September. The Princess of Wales shares details behind her blondest look yet. The Daily Mail reports that Kate explained the style refresh to actress Sue Polard while backstage at the Royal Variety performance on November 19th, reportedly saying, quote, “It used to be brown, but it’s gone light in the sunshine.” The princess previously made headlines when she was first spotted with honeyccoled long hair on September 4th. But just a few days later, she was back to being brunette and the color has remained since. And while this was a year of trying something new for the 43-year-old, it’s also a time to revisit something familiar. In fact, the evening of November 19th also marks the first time in 2 years that the princess and her husband, Prince William, walked a red carpet together. The couple coordinated their glam as Kate wore an emerald green velvet dress and William sported a black velvet suit.
