Believe it or not, there are a whole host of celebrities who have either lived in haunted houses or claimed to be visited by unrelenting ghosts.
From unexplained bumps in the night to full on sightings, some of these A-listers have been forced to move out because of their scary supernatural inhabitants.
Others managed to live side by side with the ghosts of former residents, but some claimed that they were left with no other option but to take drastic action.
Here, Daily Mail unveils the celebrities who’ve lived in haunted houses or been plagued by paranormal activity.
Nicolas Cage
Nicolas Cage once owned a home in New Orleans’ French Quarter with a famed history of being haunted.
Centuries before the Hollywood actor, 62, moved in, the house was owned by Delphine LaLaurie, a serial killer who tortured and killed enslaved people in her household.

To the public, the mistress of the house was kind to enslaved people and had even freed two, but behind closed doors was nothing short of a nightmare.
Two enslaved people jumped to their deaths rather than endure her barbarity before her crimes were finally exposed in April 1834 when a fire tore through the mansion.
At the time, emergency services discovered a group of imprisoned enslaved people who had been viciously tortured.
According to All That’s Interesting, many were found with gouged out eyes, broken bones and worse.
Although LaLaurie fled the country to Paris, France, her mansion remains one of the most haunted in New Orleans, with the cruel woman’s victims forever wandering the halls.
Despite many spooky incidents being reported since her death, Cage said he never experienced anything other-worldly in the home, which he owned Cage between April 2007 and November 2009.
‘I once lived in the most haunted house in America,’ he told Vanity Fair. ‘I bought it in 2007, figuring it would be a good place in which to write the great American horror novel. I didn’t get too far with the novel.’
Kylie Jenner
Last month, Kylie Jenner claimed that her $12 million white mansion in Hidden Hills, California, is haunted.
Speaking to her mother Kris Jenner and Scott Disick in an episode of The Kardashians, the cosmetics mogul, 28, said that she has been living with ghosts since she purchased the property in 2016.

‘I have a situation. My house is like, very haunted, and I need your help,’ she said.
Jenner went on to explain that she hears noises throughout the house.
‘It’s like if someone maybe fell or something,’ she said. ‘And they happen randomly. It’s either a bang night or it’s not a bang night.
‘When I’m sleeping, I’ll wake up to things falling in my bathroom, in my closet. Like people can’t sleep over.’
Jenner’s sister Kendall corroborated the claims and said that she gets chills whenever she walks into the bedroom.
Luckily for her, mom-of-two Jenner will soon be moving out of her current Hidden Hills house into another dwelling she had built to her specifications after buying the land off Miley Cyrus for $15 million.
Courteney Cox
Friends actress Courtney Cox has maintained that she once lived in a haunted house.
In 2022, the A-lister, 61, said that singer Carole King, who owned the property before her, had once warned her about a ghost residing in the Laurel Canyon home.

At the time, Cox was not convinced by King’s warning but she quickly changed her tune after her friends claimed they had seen the ghost.
Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, she said: ‘Other people who had stayed there with me – friends of mine – said they had an encounter with a woman who was sitting on the edge of the bed.’
However, it was a conversation with a delivery man that eventually convinced Cox to put the property up for sale.
She revealed how the man asked her if she knew her home was haunted.
Elaborating on the incident, Cox said: ‘I go, “Yeah, why? Why do you think that?” He goes, “Because there is someone standing behind you.”
The actress shortly sold her home afterwards, adding: ‘I couldn’t sleep there alone ever again.’
Octavia Spencer
Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer once claimed a friendly Hollywood Western film star was haunting her California home.
The Hidden Figures star, 55, purchased her 1,714-square-foot Toluca Lake bungalow for $841,500 in 2013.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom property is modest in size for a movie star but has plenty of charm, including a ghost.
Spencer told Ellen DeGeneres in 2021 that she has ‘boundaries’ with the spirit who also resides in her home, noting that the ghost was ‘more protective than anything.’
She explained the spirit is good at spotting bad apples and drives out any malicious people out of the property.
However, the spirit reportedly becomes sour when Spencer has been away from the house for long periods.
Describing the disgruntled ghost’s antics, she added: ‘The doors close, the lights go off when I turn them on.’
Joan Rivers
The late Joan Rivers claimed that her luxurious triplex Manhattan penthouse was haunted.
Her huge home, which was located on 1 East 62nd, was plagued by the ghost of its former occupant Mrs Spencer, who was also the niece of banker J.P. Morgan.
Before her death in 2014, Joan Rivers frequently claimed she lived with a ghost
The comedian claimed she was frequently visited by the ghost of Mrs Spencer in her Manhattan apartment, which was sold in 2014 for $28 million
‘I’m very comfortable with her,’ the comedian, who died in 2014 aged 81, told Howard Stern in 2010. ‘I love Mrs Spencer.’
While she had never seen her, Rivers felt Mrs Spencer’s presence.
On top of that, fellow neighbors had also told her that they had noticed apparitions in the ballroom and grand staircase.
Eventually, Rivers allegedly soothed the spirit by gifting her flowers and putting her portrait up in the property’s ballroom.
