Stacy Keibler Details James Van Der Beek’s Final Days | E! News

After James Van Der Beek died on Feb. 11 at age 48, his friend Stacy Keibler posted a photo of the ‘Dawson’s Creek’ actor enjoying a sunset view from his wheelchair taken during his final days. “The other night we watched the sunset together as you shared your wisdom, your hopes, and the promises we made to each other,” the former WWE star wrote on Instagram Feb. 11, posting a picture of him taking in the view from a wheelchair. “We talked about how this world can feel upside down…and how maybe heaven needs your spirit now to help steady us down here.” She continued, “And just as the sun slipped away, a shooting star crossed the sky…as if to remind us that none of this is random.” James died Feb. 11 after a years-long battle with colorectal cancer.
